John Frankenheimer
Director of 'Ronin', which he made as a comeback after the 'Island of Dr. Moreau' disaster. Also directed 'The Manchurian Candidate', 'Grand Prix', and 'French Connection II'. Known for avoiding special effects in car chases. Passed away in 2002.
